PH37 Powerhaul Freight Locomotives

The Powerhaul PH37ACi, is a double ended Locomotive developed by GE Transportation (now Wabtec) specifically for European operation. Noske-Kaeser Rail & Vehicle were engaged during the initial design phase to develop an HVAC specifically tailored to suit this particular Locomotive design. 

With separate HVAC units at each end of the locomotive, a specific requirement was for the HVAC units to form the roof of the driver’s cabs, shaped specifically to blend with the Locomotive roof profile. 

To resist corrosion and ensure long-term survivability in the wide range of environmental operating conditions throughout the European continent the fabricated housing for this unit is manufactured from Stainless Steel.

These locomotives are now in operation throughout Turkey, Germany and Finland.
